YES, I WANT TO BE FIRST ON THE LIST!
… but it’s also the only way that you know that you’re going to get exactly what you want at the end of this process.
You see, building a home is a really personal thing - at the end of the day, the only way you'll be able to judge whether your project was a "success" is if YOU are happy.
But far too many people start off a project without defining the objectives for what they want to achieve and spending the time up front to get really clear on what THEY want. If your first step is handing over your plans to a designer with a really vague brief and hoping they'll come up with something you'll love, then you might be disappointed to find out that designers aren't mind readers!
The biggest reason why people get stuck in the planning phase and can’t get their projects moving forward (even if they’ve invested big money in having professional designs produced for them) is because they just don’t know what they want…
I know it sounds a little crazy to say that… (what a great problem to have, right ?) but I see people asking for too many outside opinions; wasting too many hours on the internet looking for the perfect house and getting completely overwhelmed with all the options out there (trust me, you can get lost in the Pinterest vortex for months).
Meanwhile, they’re not spending enough time thinking about what they want out of the process and they start second guessing themselves - doubting their ability to make simple decisions. When in actual fact, most of the time I find these people are not bad at making decisions at all, they just don’t place enough value on their own opinions and don't have a clear vision for what they're creating.
This is equivalent to trying to decide what to buy at the supermarket before you've decided what you want for dinner and without a recipe to follow.
Trust me, if you don’t know what you want, I don’t care how much money you’re willing to throw at this project and whether you’ve got access to the best designers in the country, you’re not going to get what you want. I’ve seen this happen more times than I’d like to admit and it’s heartbreaking.
This training has been designed to put you in the drivers seat of your project so that you can set your own objectives, plan for how to make it happen and understand where you might need support.
...and because I know you’re busy, I’ve packaged it all together neatly so you can polish off everything in one weekend and get back to enjoying your time doing more important things.
